Ceiba speciosa, popularly known as drunken stick, is a deciduous tree, native from tropical and subtropical jungles of South America. It has several common local names: drunken stick, bottle tree, toborochi, wolly tree, pinky stick and samohu, among others. It belongs to the same family as baobab and kapok. Another species of the Ceiba genus, Ceiba chodatii, also receives the same common name.
