Cephea cephea is a jellyfish with massive aspect and a central hump covered by 10-50 big irregular warts surrounded by a noticeable depression. Only the bell’s peripheric region is flexible and it lacks of marks and raises radially. The disk is wider than high, with a diameter of 50 cm. It has 8 ropaliae and 4 oral tentacles which ramify near from the base. rom the edge, 10-50 short angulous projections and lots od large tentacles hold from the edge. The umbrella colour varies from blue to violet, being the external edge translucent. Oral tentacles are brown, whereas the external ones are colourless. It is found in the major part of Indo-Pacific ocean, including the Red Sea.
